记得前些天的新闻报道，有一家化工厂将生产废水排入河中。废水中含有大量化学药剂，会对生态环境造成严重破坏。结果，被废水污染的那条河颜色深黑，臭气熏天，大量死鱼浮在河面上。而这，还对我们人类的生活造成了严重影响。位于河流下游的农民，生产生活用水受到制约，经济发展不起来，当地人的生活条件不好。可见，生态环境的破坏影响之恶劣。
如今，是二十一世纪，“和平与发展”是当今主题。“可持续发展”是我国当今战略，所以，保护环境，是我们每个人的责任。第一，多植树，爱护花草，不践踏草地，不滥伐树木，积极参与保护环境宣讲。第二，不乱扔垃圾，在外出行时，自备垃圾袋；在超市时，提前准备好购物袋，减少使用塑料袋。第三，告诉家人朋友保护环境的重要性，遇到违反环境保护条例的行为向相关部门举报。此外，还有许多方法，我们都要注意。

It is recently reported that some rivers and lakes have dried up in South China. A lot of fishes died.The bottoms of the rivers and lakes have become grass land.
The water is becoming less and less because of the bad weather.
So everyone should do something to save our environment.
First, we should save every drop of water, such as turning off the taps after using it and recycling the water.
Forexample,we can water the plants and clean the restroom
with our use dwater.Second,we should save energy,such as lessturning on the lights and turning off the lights when we leave;
