One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

Once man did not have to think about the protection of his environment. There were few people on the earth, and natural resources seemed to be unlimited.
Today things are different. The world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources,and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, human life on earth will not survive.
We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea, there will soon be none left. Yet,with modern fishing methods, more and more fish are caught.We know that if too many trees are cut down, forests will disappear. Yet, we continue to use powerful machines to cut down more and more trees. We see that if rivers are polluted with waste products, we will die. Yet, waste products are still put into rivers.
We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate, in a few years, there won"t be enough food.What can we do to solve these problems?
If we eat more vegetables and less meat, there will be more food available. Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animals are kept.
Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recycie them.
The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods of birth control.
Finally, if we educate people to think about the problems we shall have a better and cleaner planet in the future.
大学作文二:冷眼看大学
一看：大学是一个人通向社会的桥梁，因而大学本身是一个半社会化半学术化的机构。而且随着社会的物质化倾向加剧，大学社会化倾向也在加剧，它越来越开放地接受社会上不断翻新的思维方式与生活理念。与此同时，它向社会敞开大门，里面的学生走出去了解社会，外面的新生事物涌进来，吸引着学生到课堂之外的地方活动。大学就是一座缩小的城市，或是一个城市的缩影，里面有楼宇，有娱乐场所，有花园，有商业专区，有住宅，因而也和城市一样，有着各色的男男女女，演绎这各种悲欢离合，充满着各式各样的欲望。
二看：大学的每个人都有纵欲倾向，这里的“纵欲”，并非狭义的，而是包括了人类方方面面的七情六欲。如果有权欲有名欲，各种管理组织就适应了你；如果有社交欲活动欲，各种涵盖天文地理的社团就接纳了你；如果有恋爱欲，那也不消说，大学给你的视野很开阔，就像广告中说的：总有一款适合你；如果有金钱欲利益欲，各种打工兼职做代理一定会满足你的；如果有娱乐游戏欲，各种网络游戏体育运动游山玩水总能包括你的爱好；如果有食欲购物欲，校园周边的小店小摊都会满足你，只要你有钱有闲。
如果你问那些天天泡图书馆的为数极少的学术派是怎么回事，其实答案也很简单，他们放纵的，是求知欲，是探究欲。
三看：大学是检验一个人是否喜欢学习的试金石。在高中，在想考大学并有这个能力的群体中，最勤奋的人与相对懒惰的人差异不会很大，顶多是小山坡下与山顶上的区别。而到了大学，这个差异会扩大为喜马拉雅山顶峰到太平洋深处的距离。由于大多数人失去了升学动力，所有人处于几乎无人监管的状态，加之外界的诱惑，造成了这种局面。你做得好不一定有人赞扬你，但你做得不好一定不会有人批评你，因为在这里，学业不是唯一，我们可以把握自己的自由。
四看：人各有志。面对大学的学习，浅尝辄止的人可以说一句“不高兴”，然后溜掉。这种自由缘于大学那一大半的社会化。社会是一个允许多种成功方式并存的地方，它越发达，方式也越多。封建社会只有读书科举做官这一条正路。而现在各行各业都可以跻身名人行列。因此大学也给学生这样一种发展的自由。你不爱干什么，不一定可不做，但一定可以少做。你爱做什么，几乎可以无限量地在你的精力范围内享受你的爱好。纵观大学里所有失败的例子，固然不同的人有不同的原因，归根到底，却都是不会运用这可贵的自由。让人可以凭借不同方面见长的环境，终究是一个很进步的环境。
五看：面对自由，自觉不可缺失。虽然大学生的身心应已发展到较成熟的水平，但实际上绝大多数人的自觉性不敢恭维，这也就是很多浑浑噩噩的生活方式存在的原因，他们活在无目的的生活中，为了某些没有前途的活动或是庸俗的爱好，无谓的牺牲青春。甚至有人这般感慨：大学如小学。就是指这种不自觉，也可以指对娱乐的热情。在很多无意义的事情中，人会迷失在精神荒原之中，毫无所谓希望。
六看：这种精神荒原带来了危机感，也促使人们寻找精神慰藉。除了继续逃避，我们不得不承认网络是一种好东西，它能带给你脱离生活实际的很多享受和幻象。除此之外，它还带来一种全新的生活方式，甚至出现这种情况，你在网络上和某个同学谈得热火朝天，而现实中不过是点个头、打个招呼的关系。这也是一种悲哀，它让人生失去了一种纯粹。
七看：很多人上了大学开始忘记纯粹，社会化的同时开始了成人化。尽管我们生理心理与法律上都是成人，但大学生的所谓成人化，做足了的是表面工夫，而不是在修养与品质上完善身为成人的品质。因而学生本身的职业道德学习被抛弃，许多虚伪的成分玷污了纯粹。女孩去追求“美”，男孩去追求女孩。本质是没有错误，但实际操作中，变得越来越荒谬而不可理喻。
八看：恋爱是大学的普遍现象，结果因人而异，但毕业时大多数人带着伤心与遗憾。因为年轻，所以怕孤单，怕寂寞，怕没有爱，才有那么多人奋不顾身的坠入情网。如果是这样，恋爱出自自恋，一个人如果不是因为要满足自己的感觉，如果不是要把这种感觉模糊地寄托在一个异性的身上，那么爱情为什么如此容易早夭呢？很多人只是在浑然不觉中做游戏而已。
九看：游戏人生是一种可以要人命的生活态度，平时可以玩转一切，而到了期末一切都玩不转。每逢期末的大考，图书馆就像春运的铁路客运那样，不仅是人数上的激增，还有那季节性的规律。平时就如期末般玩命的人很少，即使没那么多活动让你忙碌。因此在大学保持高中的学习强度，在大多数人眼中，简直不是传奇，而是荒谬。所以那些平时极其努力的人，不是传奇人物，而是怪兽。
十看：传奇是一个诱人的字眼，在大学里，传奇很少，但时刻在上演。很多讲座与活动也在诱惑着你加入传奇的行列。可是你应该有一个清醒的认识，认识到天上没有馅饼，即使有骂他也不会落到你的嘴里。如果你不甘于平庸，那么请自己以自己为传奇，不论生活是悲剧还是戏剧，你都要把它演绎成青春励志剧。
